this subvert was inspired by a young southern Belle who took an interest to talk to me at the cable TV show in Anaheim California back in the mid to late 1980s. She proudly told me she was a hunter. Her daddy was a hunter and her granddaddy too. She announced she was gonna go to Europe and then Africa to my amazement to shoot rhino. I told her she would likely to be strung up if in the UK she was so bold about her intentions clearly she could not grasp what I was saying and had a look of puzzlement upon her face. She sent me a postcard later. I think it left such an impression on.
this idea started off to do with bus services being cut ,but really is about the wholescale carnage that the austerity programme of the tories ,led by cameron and osborne has left in its wake
services that were taken for granted when i was in my teenage like being able to see a dentist ,or getting a doctors appointment has been sacrificed on the alter of austerity

i attended a demo against Pope Ratsingers Visit to the
Birminham Oritory the 19 septmeber 2010
i was there with my friend richard ,who introduced himself some years earlier with the unforgetable phase
“did you know my mother was in auschwitz”
i replied no i do not ,the interviening years gave me an education
in the holcauast and the need to take up arms against terrible wrongs of our world when posssibe
we both followed the unfolding catholic church peadophile scandal with horror at the time
when we heard the pope was to visit local to us ,we girdled our loins ,make our protest posters up ,an headed for the demo
there were thousands of catholics and seemingly just as many police
we we got to outside the oritory we found the only demo was by a handful of catholics who were holding up posters about being victims of papal childhood abuse
we talked to them about the visit ,how we had heard that this pope had been hiding suspected peadophile priests in the vatican to evade capture
this was made possible by a little know fact that musolini had gifted the vatican as a country of its own during his fachist regime
a fact richard pointed out to me was ,the catholic church always seem to side with fachists
as it did of course in spain during the civil war and with hitlers germany
they told us their grim stories of childhood abuse and often being scapegoated by thier familys for being whistle blowers
by somehow they did not connect this pope as being culpable of the crimes they had suffered
when it came time for the popemobile to arrive ,i got my poster out ,getting ready to nervously display it next to waiting tv cameras that i heard a n unexpected wailing sound
this sound was coming from the every people i had been talking to ,crying out ,please put that down ,dont blame the holy father etc
time slowed down somewhat as i wrested what to do ,my moment had come ,but seeing an hearing their distress ,i reluctantly put it on the floor
and stood next to richard whos poster was about victims of child abuse ,which the protesters could deal with
mine was too accusorial about the pope for their mindset
interestingly he retired not long after,something Popes never do
as the ghost of the peadophiles scandal reverberated into the public domain and decimated catholic belief in southern Ireland
which had been an epicenter of protest culminating with
the murrphy report
